Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Nadia Noori is a licensed naturopathic physician in the State of Connecticut. As a native of Queens, New York, Dr. Noori has a global vision with an affinity for human interaction to better understand the human condition. Dr. Noori attended the City University of New York, Hunter College where she received her Bachelors in Psychology & Pre-med. In 2016, Dr. Noori received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM).

During her time at UBCNM, Dr. Noori was awarded a scholarship to study acute and chronic homeopathic prescribing with Dr. André Saine, an internationally renowned physician and homeopath in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Noori was also given the opportunity to complete a preceptorship and later an externship at Shalva Clinic under the tutelage of Dr. Ellen Lewis

Prior to medical school, Dr. Noori worked at Young Adults Institute (YAI), a network of agencies offering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with a comprehensive range of services.  She served at a residential facility, which was the home of fourteen incredible individuals diagnosed with a myriad of developmental and intellectual disabilities including autism, down syndrome, schizophrenia, and attention deficit disorder. It was her tenure at YAI, along with her own personal experience as caregiver to her brother with autism, which reaffirmed her belief that a more holistic approach towards health within the mental health community was necessary.

Her path towards becoming a naturopathic physician has enabled her to fuse many of her passions including travel, learning, advocacy, community outreach, and wellness. During the first two years of medical school, Dr. Noori traveled to Jamaica along side Professor Dr. Eugene Zamperion to study herbal medicine. It was there her appreciation and understanding of herbal medicine was born. Similarly, during her third year of medical school, Dr. Noori joined a team of students on a medical mission to Panajachal, Guatemala. There she worked closely under the guidance of Dr. Carlos Cunningham and Dr. Vanesa Juarez where she saw patients at the Naturopathic Medicine for Global Health Clinic.

Aside from a general family practice, Dr. Noori’s area of specialty lies in optimizing brain health with a focus on neurodegenerative and neuropsychological conditions. Dr. Noori understands and promotes the importance of working with patients, their families, caregivers, and health team to ensure an individualized health plan that produces results! Some modalities utilized by Dr. Noori are herbal medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, physical manipulation, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, vitamin and mineral supplementation, along with both basic and specialty lab testing. With the seamless connection of the mind, body, and spirit, Dr. Noori strongly believes that the body possesses an innate ability to self heal when provided the optimum environment and care.

On her downtime you can find Dr. Noori gardening in her parents garden, catching up with her rambunctious siblings, and spending time with family & friends. She also enjoys hiking, singing, and of course strolling New York City streets people watching.
