Resident Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Agatha DaSilva is a Naturopathic Physician in Connecticut. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2022.

During her time in medical school, Dr. DaSilva received advanced training in Genomic Analysis and Generative Medicine by working closely with world renowned physician Dr. Peter D’Adamo. Dr. DaSilva incorporates the use of bioinformatic tools to develop complex, one-of-a-kind protocols, and diets for individuals. Recently, Dr. DaSilva pursued advanced training in integrative fertility methods under the guidance of Dr. Jaclyn Chasse.

Dr. DaSilva’s interest in Naturopathic Medicine was sparked at an early age after she was diagnosed with vitiligo, an autoimmune condition that affects the skin. The physical effects of vitiligo caused her to experience depression and lead an early life of alienation. The first suggested treatment was to bleach her skin, which would color the rest of her skin to match her vitiligo patches. She refused this method and began various experimental topical treatments, steroids, and UV radiation that left her with uneven patchy scars and hopeless for healing. She, like many, turned to natural therapies when the medical system failed.

Prior to medical school, Dr. DaSilva received a B.S. in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016. She had the opportunity to work alongside the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES), where she isolated bacteria from mosquitos to identify the role of the mosquito microbiome and its relationship to the zika virus. She became enlightened through her research that mosquitos rarely survived without the presence of their microbiome. She understood that mutually beneficial relationships in nature continue to be the very essence of not only survival, but healing. She devoted her additional time to volunteering with both children and adults with special needs. This pursuit led her to a job as a home health aide for individuals on the autism spectrum. She observed that individuals being seen by naturopathic providers showed drastic improvements in their activities of daily living. This further pushed her to discovering her love for naturopathic medicine. Additionally, Dr. DaSilva has worked as a physical therapy aide. She spent one-on-one time with patients and focused on rehabilitation through guided exercises, stretches and muscle manipulations. Like naturopathic medicine, Dr. DaSilva witnessed patients heal themselves without the use of medicine.

Dr. DaSilva has devoted her life to use these experiences and her knowledge to restore health and normalcy. She is committed to utilize the best of natural medicine to increase vitality, promote longevity, and strengthen the foundations of optimal health in every patient.
