Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Cindy Wechsler is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) and has been caring for children and their families for 30 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Adelphi University and a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Yale University. In addition, she is a Certified Mental Wellness Coach, Holistic Health Counselor, and Educator of Infant Massage. Cindy has advanced training in various specialties through Breastfeeding Resources, Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), Functional Foods Institute, Nourishing Hope, Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), Pediatric Integrative Mastermind Mastery Course, Infant Massage USA and Integrative and Functional Nutrition (IFN). Her work as a lactation consultant and nutrition and weight loss counselor over the years has given her additional insight into the functional health of mothers and children.

Cindy is extremely effective with helping parents who choose to embrace the use of evidence based natural remedies and alternative therapies to foster lifelong wellness of their children thus bridging the gap between integrative and conventional medicine. Her focus is on gut health, specifically the microbiome and the gut brain connection.

Cindy’s practice focuses on the integrative treatment of common childhood conditions including:

  • Digestive issues
  • Eczema and other skin conditions
  • Food sensitivities
  • Headaches
  • Mood issues
  • Reflux

She also provides counseling in the areas of lactation, vaccines, sleep issues, food introduction, nutrition and weight management (to children and adults), and guides parents on effective parenting and getting through the challenges.
Cindy has been effective at the reduction and/or avoidance of medication use in ADHD, ear infections, upper respiratory infections, allergies and constipation.

Cindy is the mother of two healthy, well-adjusted young adults. She is compassionate, non-judgmental and caring and believes that every parent knows their child best. She listens and works collaboratively with the parent to determine the best care for their child(ren). When Cindy is not in the office, you can find her training at the gym or enjoying the great outdoors.
