Create Your Own Detox Salad

The spring is a wonderful time to detox your body with seasonal foods. Cruciferous vegetables, which are plentiful this time of year, is a powerful group of produce that promotes detoxification. Use a few or all of these ingredients to create your own detox salad.
Red or green cabbage, shredded
Kale or any other leafy green, shredded (my favorite is Lacinato Kale)
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Toppings (Choose 1 or more):
Toasted or Raw Almonds Hemp seeds
Sunflower seeds Avocado slices Fresh herbs
Dressing: Lemon and Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions: Combine all vegetables in a bowl. Add toppings and drizzle a little EVOO and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice on top. Mix well and enjoy!
Enjoy cruciferous vegetables daily for maximum benefits!
