Lymphatic Drainage for Long Haulers & More!

There are numerous reasons why someone might utilize MLD or manual lymphatic drainage. Most notably, those with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndromes, post-surgery (cosmetic and medical) and even those affected by COVID-19.  MLD has become a very commonly sought-after therapy among those who continue to experience symptoms due to a previous COVID infection. To understand how MLD works we must know what the main systems are. Lymphatic System Up until a few years ago, compared to other systems in the body, the lymphatic system had often been underestimated and under-appreciated. Is Your Brain Suppressed?

Anxiety, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder, learning and behavioral challenges are some of the more common reasons people seek neurofeedback, at least in my practice.  Neurofeedback offers practitioners and patients the ability to better understand areas of the brain that might not be functioning optimally. A major struggle from a concentration and focus perspective for many even those without Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD). The hybrid caused a disruption in daily routines and  structure and it is my opinion that alone can have an impact on one’s capacity to focus. In my thirty years of practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner I definitely see a rise in the diagnosis of ADD/ADHD. The age group has definitely broaden with many more younger kids (ages 4-7 year olds) being diagnosed. Though medication may be beneficial for those with ADD/ADHD...
